BearWorks, the institutional repository (IR) of Missouri State University, continues to grow and receive strong use. Institutional repositories are an archive for collecting, preserving, and disseminating the intellectual output of an organization, particularly research institutions. On Wednesday, September 23, 2020, several faculty members of the Missouri State University Libraries attended “Like the Ceiling Can’t Hold Us: Sharing Innovations in Libraries,” an online conference organized and produced by Amigos on the general topic of innovation in libraries. The Martin Family Foundation, founded by Don and Ruth Martin, has made another substantial gift to the Missouri State University Libraries. From now through December 11, 2020, the Missouri State University Libraries is hosting a traveling exhibit about the history of Black-owned businesses in Missouri. The exhibit was designed and created by the Missouri State Museum in Jefferson City. “BOOM! Yesterday, Wednesday, September 16, 2020, sixteen lockers were installed in the main lobby of Duane G. Meyer Library in the heart of the Springfield campus of Missouri State University. Because the library lobby is available 24/7 to BearPass holders, the lockers also are available 24/7.
