The Special Collections and Archives unit of the MSU Libraries is excited to make available 34 episodes of “This Gay Life” on the Libraries’ dedicated YouTube channel. “This Gay Life” aired weekly on cable access in 1994-1995 and focused on LGBTQ issues. The show was created and hosted by local entertainer and activist Cruz Devon, and featured topics such as local politics, gay parenting, community activism, and life in the LGBTQ community in Springfield and the surrounding areas. The phone is located in the vending machine area on the west end of the main lobby.  Emergency phones are located at various shuttle stops, parking lots, parking garages, and pedestrian walk areas throughout campus — and now in the main lobby of the library. Missouri State University is conducting weekly COVID-19 testing to gauge the amount of asymptomatic infection on campus. Today, Thursday, October 29, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., voluntary opt-in testing for COVID-19 will be available to any MSU student, faculty, or staff member. The Missouri State University Libraries is close to entering into a collaborative partnership with EBSCO to serve as a beta partner in the development of the new EBSCO Analytics software service that is scheduled to launch on April 1, 2021.  The MSU Libraries already does quite a bit of business with EBSCO, renting numerous important databases and e-resources from them.
