Marilyn McCroskey, Professor of Library Science and Head of Cataloging at the Missouri State University Libraries, plans to retire at the end of October after nearly 40 years of service to the MSU Libraries and its users.  Marilyn earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Education from SMS (now MSU) in 1972, followed by a Masters degree in English in 1976. The Missouri State University Libraries is close to entering into a collaborative partnership with EBSCO to serve as a beta partner in the development of the new EBSCO Analytics software service that is scheduled to launch on April 1, 2021.  The MSU Libraries already does quite a bit of business with EBSCO, renting numerous important databases and e-resources from them. The Ozark Jubilee Digitization Project continues to produce results in preserving and making available to all this seminal country music live nationally broadcast television program from the mid-Fifties. In FY20 the amount of giving to the Missouri State University Libraries rose nearly 20%, compared to FY19, to a grand total of $2,034,172. This includes both cash and in-kind gifts. The newest in a series of long-range plans for the MSU Libraries has been unveiled. Called “MSU Libraries 2025,” the new plan articulates focus areas for the Libraries regarding Collections and Content, Services, Spaces, and Organizational matters for the next five years.  Action Items for the current fiscal year (FY21) are woven into the current five-year plan.
