Over two and a half years into the Ozark Jubilee Digitization Project, a collaborative project with the UCLA Film and Television Archive, demand for these digitized kinescopes of the popular Fifties live ABC-TV national broadcasts, which originated from Springfield, remains strong.  The April 16, 1955 episode has been viewed 7,140 times. Tracie Gieselman Obtains SAA Grant

Late last month Tracie Gieselman, Archivist at the Missouri State University Libraries, received a $2,500 grant award from the Society of American Archivists. The project will be a cooperative endeavor with archives and cultural heritage institutions and the emergency response community in the region. The period of performance for this grant-funded project will be fiscal year 2020. In July Tyler Drenon began working for the Missouri State University Libraries as a non-student, part-time employee.  Tyler will be assisting with the relocation, relaunch, and re-envisioning of our ASPIRE program. ASPIRE supports interdisciplinary scholarship within a technologically enhanced library space. It provides opportunities for students and faculty from multiple disciplines to apply classroom learning to real-life issues and actual requirements on the job.
