KYTV and the MSU Libraries have collaborated to digitize a 30-minute 1959 early television program about the Shepherd of the Hill drama. Missouri State University is organizing a two-day symposium in honor of Thomas Moore Johnson, which will be held in MSU’s Duane G. Meyer Library and at the Johnson Library & Museum in Osceola, Missouri, November 7-8, 2019. Johnson (1851-1919) was born in Osceola, where he served as mayor, prosecuting attorney, and school superintendent. An ardent Platonist, he was actively involved in both philosophical and esoteric circles, producing translations, publishing journals, and collecting rare books. The MSU Testing Center recently upgraded their patron lockers to include electronic locks.

On July 17 and 18, Sue McCrory of the MSU Testing Center attended the first meeting of the Missouri Association of Testing (MoAT). She was elected as the first Vice President of the group and has started serving her first two-year term.

Andrea Miller, with fellow Missouri Library Association Intellectual Freedom Committee members Tiffany Mautino, Kara Bell, and Kris Dyer, presented the Introduction to Intellectual Freedom Workshop, or How To Be an Intellectual Freedom Fighter to the Springfield-Greene County Library District at the Library Center on July 17, 2019.
