The summer Sunday evening Carillon Concerts have resumed, organized and produced by the MSU Music Department, and performed on the Jane A. Meyer Carillon attached to the Duane G. Meyer Library on the main Springfield campus of Missouri State University. Use of the Libraries’ YouTube Channel Jumps During COVID-19

The use of the dedicated YouTube channel of the Missouri State University Libraries really jumped during the COVID-19 pandemic. Usage already was high before the pandemic affected all our lives.  From March of 2019 to February of 2020, the videos on the dedicated channel received 684,309 views, with 12,412,084 minutes watched, for an average of 18.1 minutes per view. Assistant Professor Lindsey Taggart will be leaving the MSU Libraries this summer after three years of service as Director of Resource Management & Discovery. She accepted a position with the Springfield-Green​e County Library District, where she will serve as a librarian in the Collection Services Department. 2nd Annual MOAT Virtual Conference

On June 16th and 17th the MSU Testing Center is hosting the 2nd annual MOAT (Missouri Association of Testing) Virtual Conference. Sessions include AVANT Assessment and the Global Seal of Biliteracy, The Importance of On-Campus Testing Centers (panel), NOCTI – Credentials for the Workplace, NCTA Testing Center Certification, T.E.A.M – Totally Excited About Motivation, and Accommodated Exams (panel). The sixth edition of the popular, acclaimed professional book, Cataloging Correctly for Kids: An Introduction to the Tools and Practices, has been published by the American Library Association. Two Library Science Faculty members at MSU made significant contributions to this book. Marilyn McCroskey, who recently retired, is one of the three co-editors of this volume.
