Concert Includes Donation to OLGA

On Sunday, December 18, 2022, the Men’s Chorus of the Ozarks (MCO) had their first holiday concert since 2019. A long-time supporter of the Ozarks Lesbian and Gay Archives (OLGA), a part of Special Collections and Archives at the Missouri State University Libraries, the MCO asked the Archives to provide a display on local LGBTQ+ history.

At the event, library representatives learned that the MCO planned a donation to OLGA, funding that will help us to continue collecting and preserving the records from organizations and individuals that tell the story of the Ozarks LGBTQ+ community. Library Associate Lisa McEowen accepted the check from MCO member Ryan Villapiano on behalf of the MSU Archives.

To learn more, contact Anne Baker, Head of Special Collections, at 417.836.4299 or AnneBaker@missouristate.edu. Among the collections housed in Meyer Library are the records of the Men’s Chorus, going back to when the group was founded in 2011.
