According to the their website, “Leadership Springfield is the premier program for leadership development in the Ozarks, designed to inspire, develop and connect leaders to serve the Springfield community. In over 30 years of operating, we have graduated more than 2,000 community leaders who are motivated and inspired to make an impact.”

On September 27th and 28th, Dean Peters and his fellow classmates attended an intensive two-day orientation retreat. Each month for the next seven months the class will attend “program days” that focus on various facets of the greater Springfield region, highlighting both “red flags” and “blue ribbons” about the region.

An evening graduation ceremony and celebration in May completes the program. Greg Fansler, MSU’s Executive Director of Engagement and Alumni Relations, also is a member of Signature Class 44.
