Last week, an inaccuracy was published in LibNotes. As of Monday, May 11, 2026, the library is operating under summer intercession hours. Summer hours will officially start on Monday, June 1 along with the summer 2026 academic semester. Summer intercession hours and summer hours at Meyer Library are not the same schedule. Several retirees joined current library employees at Meyer Library on Friday, May 15th for a few hours to reconnect, catch up, and even talk about how academic libraries have changed and evolved over the years. Meyer Library is hosting its second Library Retiree Party this Friday, May 15. The gathering will be held in Room 107 from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm and light refreshments will be served. “All library retirees are welcome to come and all current library employees can attend as well,” said Dave Richards, Dean of Library Services.
