On Tuesday, December 5, 2017 the Ozarks Lesbian and Gay Archive (OLGA)received a $4,720 grant award from Springfield Black Tie. Thanks to ongoing support from Springfield Black Tie, OLGA will be able to better preserve this area’s LGBTQ history and culture.  Part of the grant will be used to transfer “This Gay Life” to digital format. Three groups of up-to-five students will be treated to a new VIP Study Room experience as they prepare for Finals this weekend. The online scheduling service for reserving small-group study rooms in Duane G. Meyer Library has proven to be a huge success. On Sunday, December 3, 2017 we set a record in bookings of the group study rooms. The Kightlinger Collection (M 106) in Meyer Library’s Special Collections and Archives is a collection of letters, greeting cards, and photos that document the lives of Kenneth and Myra (McDaniel) Kightlinger during World War II.  The couple moved to California in November 1942, but they came back to Missouri in February 1943 when Kenneth was drafted into the Army.
