MSU Libraries Student Assistant Excels in Public Speaking Competition

On Monday, May 6, the MSU College of Arts & Letters held their annual Vicki Stanton Public Speaking Showcase (VSPSS); a one-day speech tournament highlighting persuasive speeches presented by COM 115 students. COM 115 is a required public speaking course at MSU, with a current enrollment of around 1,500 students. Each class chose a representative to deliver their 7-9 minute persuasive speech in the showcase. Spring is in the air, finals are near…it’s time for some fun at Club Meyer! On Wednesday, dozens of shiny, candy-filled eggs were hidden inside the Duane G. Meyer Library. Tracy Stout Recommended for Promotion to Full Professor

Missouri State University Libraries faculty member Tracy Stout has been recommended for promotion to the rank of Professor. Ms. Stout began her time with MSU as a Graduate Assistant and student in the Industrial/Organizational Psychology program (2004-2006). She also attended the University of Arizona, graduating with a Master of Information Resources and Library Science degree in 2007. MSU Libraries rolled out the new Campus Delivery Service with the start of the Fall 2018 Semester.  The service has been well received, with compliments and words of appreciation coming in from happy faculty members on the Springfield campus.
