An article by MSU Library Science faculty member Dea Borneman, titled “Walk of Wild Things” (with Melinda Hammerschmidt and Becky Dischner), has been published in the latest issue of the journal Science and Children.

The theme for the entire issue is Joyful Science.

Dea is the head of the Haseltine Library in the Greenwood Lab School on the main Springfield campus of Missouri State University.

During her long, distinguished career, she has won several awards, including:

• 2013 TLC (Teacher/Librarian Collaboration) Award received with Greenwood 3rd Grade Instructor, Becky Crowder. Awarded by the Missouri Association of School Librarians, April 15, 2013.
• Lifetime Membership awarded by the Missouri Association of School Librarians, in appreciation for outstanding leadership and dedication, April 15, 2008.
