Pet Therapy of the Ozarks Dogs Visit Meyer Library
On Monday afternoon, May 14, 2018, during Finals Week at MSU, a half dozen lovable dogs from Pet Therapy of the Ozarks visited MSU’s Duane G. Meyer Library for a couple of hours to interact with students as they (the students, not the dogs) prepared for finals. According to their website,
Pet Therapy of the Ozarks, Inc. is a not-for profit Missouri Corporation organized to provide emotional therapy visits to nursing homes, hospitals, schools and other facilities. We are based in Springfield, Missouri and serve institutions within a 50 mile radius. As a strictly volunteer group, our pet therapy association is funded through membership dues and donor support. We certify Pet Therapy dogs with prior Canine Good Citizenship certificates twice a year.
The MSU Libraries thanks Pet Therapy of the Ozarks, including library faculty member, Anne Baker, and library staff member, Sue Reichling, for organizing this much-appreciated event again this semester. It’s one of the highlights of Finals Week for many students, faculty, and staff.
