RECAP: Library Retirees Party

RECAP: Library Retirees Party

Several people gathered in a room eating and socializing at a table in front of a television screen.
Several retirees and current library employees attended the Library Retirees Party.
Several retirees joined current library employees at Meyer Library on Friday, May 15th for a few hours to reconnect, catch up, and even talk about how academic libraries have changed and evolved over the years.

Dave Richards, Dean of Library Services, provided a brief campus update and also provided an overview of the work the library team completed over the last several months. A Q&A session followed the updates and lasted for about an hour with former employees asking about the library, campus, and even the library’s front-facing EBSCO Discovery System.

The time went by fast and it was great to reconnect with our former colleagues. Going forward, the library intends to host a retiree event every May. And everyone is always welcome to visit Duane G. Meyer Library throughout the year!
