Four Meyer Library student workers nominated for campus award
Four student workers at the Duane G. Meyer Library were nominated for the Student Employee of the Year Award. The students were Dayah German, Jaica Clark, Aaron Wildoner, and Gabi Martin. The awards ceremony was last Wednesday, April 22.

“It was a huge honor to be nominated among the entire campus of student employees,” said Aaron. “There are a lot of student employees. For some reason, they selected me. It was weird. I never think I’m worthy of that kind of stuff.”
“I appreciate my hard work being acknowledged,” said Gabi. “It means a lot for people to notice the work that I do, and to be nominated for something is nice. It feels good.”
Dayah was unable to attend the ceremony due to an exam in human physiology that occurred at the same time.
“I was pretty excited honestly,” she said later. “It just kind of shows that my hard work paid off and people are noticing and I really appreciate that it’s being recognized.”
Jaica was nominated for the second time and expressed that it was very meaningful to her.
“Throughout the last three and a half years working at the library, I’ve gotten to know so many amazing people and I’m humbled to know that I contributed enough in my position to be recognized by such hard workers,” said Jaica. “Although my time at Meyer Library is ending, I will forever cherish what this job and these people have given me!”
