was held for fourth and fifth grade students that read four or more books nominated for the 2022-2023 Mark Twain Readers Award or the 2022-2023 Truman Readers Award.  The Missouri Association of School Librarians presents these awards annually and the winning titles are chosen by Missouri school students. This year’s winning books were Millionaires for the Month by Stacy McAnulty (Mark Twain Readers Award) and 96 Miles by J.L. Esplin (Truman Readers Award.)

At the end of week, Springfield-Greene County Library visited with all Greenwood elementary classes to share information about their summer reading program, All Together Now. This program runs from June 1-August 7 and is designed for readers of all ages. Greenwood students were encouraged to check out books from Haseltine and Springfield Greene during the coming summer months and to share the joy of reading with others. Adults are welcome to participate in the summer reading program as well.
