Shannon Mawhiney

Shannon Mawhiney, Digital Archivist and Head of the Digitization Lab at the Missouri State University Libraries, soon will be leaving the university to take a new job at the Springfield Public Schools in their Launch Virtual Learning Center.

Shannon has been with the MSU Libraries for nearly 20 years. Her last day in the Digitization Lab within the Karen Horny Special Collections and Archives area of Duane G. Meyer Library will be Friday, January 13, 2023.

“Launch is Missouri’s solution for course access issues for school districts and families in need of flexible and personalized learning options. Launch courses meet both individual student needs and the needs of districts seeking to provide virtual course options for their students.”

In her new role as Quality Assurance, Coordinator II, Shannon will be responsible for ensuring effective online course development through quality inspection of online courses and facilitating external course review processes.

We thank Shannon for all of her fine service to the university community and beyond, and we extend to her best wishes in all of her future endeavors.
