MSU Libraries Associate Professor Andrea Miller has had a book chapter proposal accepted for future publication in Project Management in Technical Services. This book will be an edited volume focused on the adoption and implementation of project management within technical services. The scope of the book covers two primary perspectives: (1) implementation of project management within technical services units; and (2) specific case studies on topical areas such as ILS migrations, Scholarly Communications, Digitization, equity, diversity, and inclusion, or workflow analysis.

The implementation perspectives theme focuses on overviews of project management methodologies and how they can be implemented within technical services. As “implementation” can vary in its meaning, that section will be divided into two sections: Institution project management and Grassroots efforts. Miller’s chapter will focus on grassroots efforts in personal project management. The book will be published by ALA Editions | Neal-Schuman.
