Search for E-Resource Strategist Begins

MSU Library and FountainThe Missouri State University Libraries invites individuals to apply for an important and exciting new position in our dynamic, forward-thinking library: E-Resource Strategist. Although MSU currently is under a university-wide hiring freeze, resulting in five open positions in the MSU Libraries being frozen, both President Smart and Provost Einhellig approved the launching of this search to fill this vital new position. 

This will be a national search. The short version of the job advertisement reads: The Missouri State University Libraries, the first library in North America to fully implement the new open-source FOLIO system, seeks innovative candidates with experience developing, managing, and promoting electronic resources. A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred. At least one year of experience supporting the management and/or acquisition of electronic resources is required. Experience reading, negotiating, and managing license agreements is required. Experience troubleshooting electronic resource access issues is preferred. Experience using an Electronic Resource Management System such as CORAL is preferred.
