Migration to New Systems Coming in Early June

Duane G. Meyer Library with reflectionsThe Missouri State University Libraries will be migrating to new systems in early June. Here is the basic information that users need to know:

  • At approximately 6:00 p.m. CDT on Thursday, June 4, 2020, MSU faculty, staff, students, and other community members will no longer be able to renew or request items via the SWAN or MOBIUS catalogs. (MOBIUS requests, as well as requests from other SWAN libraries. have been unavailable since March, and will remain so through June.) However, MSU’s collections should remain searchable in the SWAN and MOBIUS catalogs throughout the month of June. MSU’s membership in the MOBIUS Consortium ceases at the end of June.
  • On Monday, June 8, 2020, the MSU Libraries will go live with the new suite of systems we have been preparing since 2019. For end-users, this will be most noticeable as a sleek, simplified new interface, with enhanced search opportunities encompassing more information materials.

  • Throughout this transition process, users will be able to continue checking out physical items (books, DVDs, etc.) from Duane G. Meyer Library.  Here’s the online form to use. We’ll have the books ready for you when you come into the library.
