In anticipation of the MSU Theatre and Dance production of Lanford Wilson’s The Rimers of Eldritch (showing May 2nd – 5th), the Special Collections and Archives area of the MSU Libraries is displaying selections from the Lanford Wilson Collection in the Craig Hall foyer.
Lanford Wilson (April 13, 1937 – March 24, 2011) was a Pulitzer Prize winning playwright born in Lebanon, Missouri. At a young age, after his parents divorced, he moved with his mother to Springfield, and then to Ozark. Wilson lived in Ozark until he graduated from high school in 1955. He enrolled for summer and fall sessions at Southwest Missouri State College (now Missouri State University).
Among the items currently on exhibit are photos, plays, and books. They will remain through the production of Wilson’s play in Coger Theatre: https://theatreanddance.missouristate.edu/CurrentProductions.htm
