Provost Funds More Power to the Table Top

Photo of the fountain and exterior of Duane G. Meyer LibraryOn Wednesday, May 2nd, during the most recent meeting of the Library Advisory Board of the Student Government Association, the student representatives expressed to Dean Peters and Associate Dean Besara a strong need for more tables in Duane G. Meyer with power outlets on the table tops.

One week later, on Wednesday, May 9th, after his regular monthly meeting with Dean Peters, MSU Provost Dr. Frank Einhellig authorized the transfer of $25,000 in one-time funds immediately to the MSU Libraries to purchase 20 more tables with power outlets built into the table tops.

This gift builds on a previous gift from the Provost a couple of fiscal years ago that enabled us to purchase 10 similar tables. All the employees and users of Duane G. Meyer Library warmly thank Provost Einhellig for his generous, prompt support for this clear need. The 20 new tables will be ordered soon, with the goal to have them assembled, deployed, and ready for use before August 1st.
