Northwest Project Updates

Photo of the Library at the FairbanksThe work of designing and building a Grant Beach Neighborhood Library at the Fairbanks continues to move forward.  It is amazing how much work goes on in the background.  Some examples:
  1. Joshua is working out how to get the library information system up and running.
  2. Sue M ran into a snag trying to get the HiSET testing in place.  It can be done here so she is looking into ways to make it happen.
  3. Raegan provided a list of items and pricing required to get the books set up for cataloging.
  4. Joyce found lower prices for the same items.
  5. Karen helped clean up books.
  6. Scott got the second coat of primer on the windows.
  7. Jan got the first coat of primer on the door and some of the trim.
  8. Jan also had a discussion with Jeremy Hahn who works with Life360, the group that will be hosting the coffee shop.  We will work closely with them as work on the project progresses.
  9. Amy Hankins has put together a Reptile Day at the Fairbanks.
  10. Tom found information about a grant from Gannett Foundation.  He and Jan are working on a proposal.
