The Standard, Missouri State University’s student-run newspaper, announced the University Libraries earned not one but two “Best Of” awards in 2022. The awards are determined by an online student poll conducted by the newspaper. For several years now, Meyer Library has secured the “Best Place to Study” award. This year, the library received the “Best On-Campus Service” award as well. The Missouri Hub of the Digital Public Library of America (DPLA), to which the MSU Libraries contributes its Digital Collections records, recently voted to admit member institutions from outside of Missouri and has changed its name to Heartland Hub (with updated website coming soon).  The first new members are academic libraries from Iowa, including Drake University, the University of Northern Iowa, Iowa State University, and Grinnell College. A recent donation to the MSU Libraries, the Murnai (Pins) Neumann Collection, takes us back to the days of nightclubs and live entertainment in the 1930s and 40s. 

The Ozarks Studies Institute, an ongoing initiative of the Missouri State University Libraries, will host a free and open-to-the-public discussion with Ernie Bedell as part of its author talk series.
