AVON Trial Access to Academic Videos Online
The Missouri State University Libraries has a longstanding commitment to providing more and better access to streaming media that support the teaching, learning, research, and service activities of this university community.
With that goal in mind, the MSU Libraries recently arranged a trial access to the Academic Video Online (AVON) database.
AVON is a comprehensive streaming video collection of more than 70,000 films, including documentaries, interviews, feature films, performances, news programs and newsreels, and demonstrations. It covers a broadly multidisciplinary range of subject areas, such as anthropology, business, counseling, film, health, history, music, and more. The AVON LibGuides is a good place to learn more about this database, there is excellent coverage with the many disciplines and how to filter by publishers.
AVON can be accessed on-campus and off-campus 24/7 directly via this link: https://trials.proquest.com/access?token=iwlVXcYHrKsgcYEfeOJHpSSqm, until September 4, 2021. Also, you can access this database and other database trials through the homepage of the MSU Library’s website, under the “Articles & Databases” tab.
