Jan Johnson is the New Coordinator of our Ozarks Food Harvest Effort

Ozarks Food Harvest logoDue to Tammy’s Stewart’s retirement, Jan Johnson has volunteered to work on the Libraries’ effort to support Ozarks Food Harvest.

Ozarks Food Harvest sent a thank you note for the donations from the last get together.  The contribution was 177 pounds that will help provide 148 meals to 28 counties across the Ozarks.  One in five children and one in seven adults living in southwest Missouri are considered food insecure.

We have introduced a donation jar in order to increase the level of support that we can provide.  The jar is located on the First Level on a table just east of the main stairwell.  Ozarks Food Harvest is able to help more people by purchasing large quantities of food and toiletries for low prices.  One dollar can provide four meals.  A penny from each member of the Libraries will purchase more than two meals.  Together, our small change can make a big difference in the lives of others. Thank you for your caring and generous spirits.
