Author Talk: Rick Grayson tonight at Library Center
Tonight at 7 p.m. in the Library Center auditorium, local golf pro Rick Grayson will be having an author talk. His book, Horton Smith: A Masters Legacy, was published in December 2022 by the Ozarks Studies Institute, an ongoing initiative of the Missouri State University Libraries. The biography chronicles the life of Smith, a Springfield native, from birth through his rise as a professional golfer, to his PGA presidency and the controversial events regarding race

in sports history, and on to his death.
Grayson will be introduced by managing editor Elaina Kersey and then will present a slide show. He has recently returned from the Masters Tournament in Augusta, GA and the event was timed to coincide (more or less) with that season. There will be a Q&A portion near the end of the night.
Books will be on sale after the event for $20. We hope to see you there!
