Jessica Bennett has been elected incoming Vice-Chair/Chair Elect of the Distance and Online Learning Section.

The Distance and Online Learning Section (DOLS) is a section of the Association of College and Research Libraries, a division of the American Library Association. DOLS supports and promotes library services to off campus and distance education students; provides a vehicle for the professional development and exchange of ideas among librarians working with off campus and distance education students.

The Vice-Chair/Chair Elect serves as an officer of the section and assists in advancing the goals and objectives of the section and ACRL, makes section committee appointments, and co-represents the section on ACRL Leadership Council. This is a three year term, beginning as Vice-Chair/ Chair Elect, moving to Chair, and then immediate Past-Chair.

Jessica is excited for the opportunity to advance and advocate for distance and online learning at the national level. Congratulations, Jessica!
