Changes in Employee Roles and Responsibilities

Photo of Family Weekend activities in the library lobbyAs we all work together in this new era to create a university library that continues to be safe, productive, and forward-thinking in pursuit of its mission, this summer several employees of the MSU Libraries are transitioning to new roles and responsibilities. This is an ongoing process. Further reallocation of employee expertise and other resources of the MSU Libraries will be announced as details are finalized.

  • Andy Lokie has been a member of the Library Science Faculty since coming to MSU in 2001, earning tenure in 2006. Since 2010 Andy has been working in the Office of the Provost, currently serving as editor of the eJournal of Public Affairs.

On August 1st Andy will return to working in the MSU Libraries. The eJournal of Public Affairs will continue. Andy also will help with BearWorks, MSU’s Institutional Repository, other e-publishing efforts, and other areas of faculty endeavor. Welcome back, Andy.

  • Lisa McEowen recently returned to Cataloging and Metadata Services in the division of Resource Management and Discovery. She’s off to a flying start. She’s already found some process improvements for Cataloging, and we are thankful for her strengths in enhancing the organization and efficiency of Room 007 in the northeast corner of the Lower Level of Duane G. Meyer Library. Thanks, Lisa.
