Professor Tracy Stout provided four informational presentations on Open Educational Resources last week. Tracy’s presentations included an overview of, finding, and evaluating OER. These presentations were in collaboration with FCTL (The MSU Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning) in anticipation of the upcoming special curriculum innovation grant to support MSU faculty in the creation of a “Zero Textbook” course. These stipends were announced on Monday with the expectations that those receiving the stipend will attend another OER workshop facilitated by FCTL and the Libraries and ultimately share their course information through BearWorks, the MSU institutional repository.
