MAMA Conference Coming to Springfield in October
The annual conference of the Missouri Association for Museums and Archives (MOMA) will be held October 17-19 at various venues in Springfield, including the Duane G. Meyer Library on the campus of Missouri State University. The conference theme this year is “Wonder and Sustainability.” The conference is supported by the Missouri Humanities Council.
The conference begins Thursday morning with special tours of Bass Pro Shops and the Wonders of Wildlife Museum, followed by evening events at the Springfield Art Museum where the sessions will begin on Friday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. Friday morning, conference attendees will explore the Springfield Botanical Gardens and tour the Discovery Center, then enjoy a Friday evening reception at the new History Museum on the Square. Sessions resume Saturday morning at the Meyer Library of Missouri State University.
