High School Equivalency Program Grant Application
Sue McCrory, Director of the MSU Testing Center, in collaboration with Missouri State Outreach, has submitted a grant application for the U.S. Department of Education’s High School Equivalency Program. Her proposal’s objectives are to expand HiSET test preparation and test access to at least 8 MSU extension locations, such as Cassville, Camdenton, and Neosho, to help migrant, seasonal, transient, and other traditionally disadvantaged populations to obtain a high school equivalency diploma to gain employment, upgrade their current employment, enter into military service, or be placed in an institution of higher education or other postsecondary education or training. The grant could provide up to approximately $480,000 per year to fund this program, and would continue for five years.
