Special Collections and Archives inside the Duane G. Meyer Library is exhibiting the memorabilia of Ramona McQueary’s time involved in the P.E.O. Sisterhood. P.E.O. stands for Philanthropic Education Organization. Founded in 1869 at Iowa Wesleyan University by seven female students, P.E.O. exists for the betterment of women, sisterhood, and loyalty through grants, scholarships, awards, and loans that help women to attain their educational goals. The Johnson Family Student Ephemera Collection documents the Johnson family’s experiences at State Normal School #4 and Southwest Missouri State Teachers College. OSI to publish Ozarks Float Fishing book

The Ozarks Studies Institute, an ongoing initiative of the Missouri State University Libraries, is publishing a new book on float fishing. Authored by local writer Tom Koob with cartographic specialist Curtis Copeland, the book charts the history of a unique Ozarks past time from its origins through the decline of the sport and industry. OzarksWatch Magazine to be indexed in Ulrich’s

As of next week, OzarksWatch Magazine, a publication of the Ozarks Studies Institute, will be indexed in UlrichsWeb. UlrichsWeb is an easily searchable database affiliated with ProQuest that provides detailed information on more than 300,000 periodicals of all sorts. This weekend, UlrichsWeb will do its weekly cache refresh, after which OzarksWatch will become discoverable by many more library users worldwide.
