MSU’s Giving Day a Huge Success

Exterior photo of Duane G. Meyer LibraryMissouri State University’s Giving Day, held over a 36-hour period on March 1st and 2nd, was a resounding success. Nearly 2,200 donors gave over $1.6 million to support all facets of MSU endeavors on all campuses, including Springfield and West Plains.

The MSU Libraries’ facet of Giving Day was very successful, too, with 54 donors contributing $4,470. When the Library Donor Challenge sponsored by Library Dean Emeritus Karen Horny is factored in, nearly $10,000 was raised to support our ongoing digitization efforts, and to support the contingent of students, faculty, and staff who will be traveling to the National Mall in DC in June to participate in the Ozarks Program at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival. Everyone at the MSU Libraries is always appreciative of the ongoing support of friends and supporters.

A short thank-you video summarizes the immediate impact of MSU’s Giving Day.
