Lively Event About the Living Ozarks

Cover of the Living Ozarks AnthologyOver 45 people attended the Living Ozarks event held on Thursday evening, April 25, 2019, at the Library Center of the Springfield-Greene County Library District. The event was sponsored and organized by the Ozarks Studies Institute, an initiative of the MSU Libraries. The evening was a provocative mix of music, readings, a panel discussion, and lively discussion. Shun-Yeen Hoi played regional music on the keyboard. Mike Kromrey and Todd Parnell, among others, gave readings. John Sellars and Susan Croce Kelly joined Kromrey and Parnell for a thoughtful panel discussion, followed by some lively Q&A and information sharing. Sales of the Living Ozarks anthology, published last year by the Ozarks Studies Institute, an initiative of the MSU Libraries, were brisk before and after this event.
