Lively Event About the Living Ozarks
Over 45 people attended the Living Ozarks event held on Thursday evening, April 25, 2019, at the Library Center of the Springfield-Greene County Library District. The event was sponsored and organized by the Ozarks Studies Institute, an initiative of the MSU Libraries. The evening was a provocative mix of music, readings, a panel discussion, and lively discussion. Shun-Yeen Hoi played regional music on the keyboard. Mike Kromrey and Todd Parnell, among others, gave readings. John Sellars and Susan Croce Kelly joined Kromrey and Parnell for a thoughtful panel discussion, followed by some lively Q&A and information sharing. Sales of the Living Ozarks anthology, published last year by the Ozarks Studies Institute, an initiative of the MSU Libraries, were brisk before and after this event.
