Two faculty members at the Duane G. Meyer Library have been promoted to associate professor. Anne Baker, Head of Special Collections and Archives, and Derek Moser, Head of Resource Management and Discovery, were promoted in a joint letter ceremony on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at 2:45 pm in the Ozarks Room.

Dr. Richard “Biff” Williams, President, and Dr. Clarenda Phillips, Provost, came to deliver Baker’s and Moser’s letters and give remarks. Dave Richards, Dean of the Libraries, also spoke and presented the faculty members with gifts.

“The library is really excited to see two of its faculty members have achieved tenure and promotion,” Richards said. “It’s all the more special because faculty only get promoted a few times throughout their careers. For both of these individuals, this is a milestone. Our librarians take their faculty responsibilities seriously, conduct research and provide tremendous service to our campus and community. I’m proud of the work they do.”

“After a long career at Missouri State, I am thrilled to be able to continue my work as an associate professor,” said Baker.
