From August 18-21, 2025, the Duane G. Meyer Library hosted the fifth annual Pop Into the Library, an event welcoming students back to campus and to Meyer. Put on by 3 student marketing assistants and the help of 10 library staff members, Pop Into the Library occurred in the lobby from 9 am to 1 pm daily from Monday to Thursday that first week of classes. 

The event featured popcorn and an assortment of buttons and stickers designed by graphic design and marketing specialist Sarah Curl.

“I’ve just always liked libraries and I just like puns,” Curl said.

Preparation each day started around 8 am and workers were busy popping popcorn until 12:45 pm. 

“I feel like it went really well,” said Gaby Martin, a student marketing assistant. “If people had any questions about the library, it was nice to be able to answer them right away when they walked through the door.”

It was also nice to share the popcorn that fell on the floor with the friendly dog who walked through the door as well.
