“I feel privileged to continue to work in a way that promotes student success,” said Bennett, who has been promoted to full professor, effective July 1, 2025.
Wiechert has been promoted to associate professor of library science, effective August 11, 2025. She expresses a range of emotions including happiness and excitement.
Both Bennett and Wiechert went through a process that culminated in formal application in the fall of 2024.
“I notified the dean that I was planning on applying for promotion, then I had to get a whole bunch of stuff together,” Wiechert explained. “There’s the criteria of librarianship, research, and service and I had to go through and provide the proof that I had accomplished what was required of me.”
The library commends both librarians on their continued success. If you see them, please congratulate them.
