Physical music collection now easier to find
The Duane G. Meyer music collection has been added to StackMaps. For interested students, faculty, and community members, music of interest can be found in the catalog, where a link to the materials will bring up a map on the screen. This map can be followed to find the physical location of the items.
“Sue Reichling and Dan Rose worked together,” said Holly Kouns, coordinator of public services. “Sue helped map the materials in the collection to their location in the sections and ranges designated for music.”
After putting the call numbers and ranges into a spreadsheet, the company StackMaps mapped the materials to the proper locations. Sue and Dan collaborated with StackMaps on 8 ranges-worth of material.
“Sue has done a very good job with labeling the ranges of the physical location,” said Rose. “Having a digital location helps, too.”
