David Harrison, Missouri’s Poet Laureate and well known children’s author, will be presenting at MSU’s Kentwood Hall Chrystal Room on Thursday April 11^th beginning at 7:00 PM. This event is free and open to the public. Ample parking is available on the grounds of Kentwood Hall. 

David will be joined, later in the program, by friends and musicians Chris Craig and Gale Clithero, who together form the Byron Bigger’s Band.  The trio will perform selections of David’s children’s  classic poems that have been arranged and set to high energy acoustic rock and other musical genres.

               The event will also include a presentation by Mr. Frank Taylor from the Legends Project, a Springfield-based organization that promotes Braille literacy for all age groups.  The Legends Project is a supporter of David and other local authors and aims to increase access to their books in Braille and other materials as part of collections in school and public libraries across Missouri and beyond.
