Jeffrey Lawson Featured in the MLA Newsletter
Jeffrey Lawson, a Library Associate I and Archives Specialist in the Digitization Lab in the Special Collections and Archives area of Duane G. Meyer Library on the main Springfield campus of Missouri State University, is the “Featured Library Employee” in the January 2023 online issue of MO Info: The Newsletter of the Missouri Library Association.
In the full-page article on page 4, using the Q&A style, Jeffrey notes the wonderful Saturday morning’s he spent as a child at what is now known as the Midtown Carnegie Branch of the Springfield-Greene County Library District, as well as his work in his high school library. As an adult, he has worked in circulation at the Midtown Carnegie Branch Library, then in MSU’s Meyer Library. Four years ago he began working in MSU’s Digitization Lab, where he has done excellent digitization and research work related to many collections, including the archives of Springfield Little Theater, as well as several collections related to the Ozark Jubilee.
Congratulations, Jeffrey, for this well-deserved recognition, and thanks for all of the good work you have done for libraries and library users in this area.
