Content Management Committee Formed
With the aim of renewing our emphasis on content management, resulting in the development of a robust, user-centered, relevant collection that aligns with contemporary library standards and practices, as well as with users needs and expectations, the Missouri State University Libraries is commissioning a formal Content Management Committee.
This decision-making committee has the authority to make content management decisions, as well as to plan, amend, and implement collection management policies. Overseeing all types of content management for the library, the committee is chaired by the Director of Resource Management & Discovery. Additional members include the Dean, Associate Dean, Electronic Resource Strategist, and the the Head of the Haseltine Library in the Greenwood Laboratory School, and Educator Resources.
The committee held its first meeting on November 21, 2022 and plans to meet monthly.
With shifts in student demographics, the research needs of faculty and graduate students, and the changing structure of the university and disciplines, the Content Management Committee will strive to align content with the current and near-term needs of this particular university community.
