MLA Annual Conference Comes to Springfield
The Missouri State University Libraries is excited to have the annual conference of the Missouri Library Association come to Springfield next month. Katie Hopkins and Jesse East from the Springfield-Greene County Library District are serving as the coordinators of this conference, which will be held September 28-30, 2022 at the Oasis Hotel and Conference Center.
Several members of the MSU Library Science faculty will be presenting at this conference, and other faculty and staff will be attending to learn from colleagues around the state, and from the vendor community, of ways we can position the MSU Libraries for continued success.
The Ozarks Studies Institute, an ongoing initiative of the MSU Libraries, also will be a sponsor of the MLA Conference. Specifically, the OSI will be providing the ever-popular tote bags that conference-goers use to collect information and library swag. We plan to put complimentary copies of OzarksWatch Magazine into the bags, along with other information about the OSI and the MSU Libraries in general.
On Friday morning, September 30th, some of the MLA conference attendees will come to Meyer Library on the main Springfield campus to tour the building, with the Ozarks Room as a focal point.
