The Missouri State University Libraries’ E-Learning Librarian, Jessica Bennett, was recently awarded the 2021 Certified Distance Educator (CDE) Award, sponsored by the Distance Education Committee (DEC) at Missouri State University.

The purpose of the CDE Award is to:      

• Encourage continued professional development in distance education.     
• Provide recognition of continued growth in distance education.      
• Foster instructional innovation.

Recipients of the DEC award must complete at least three documented professional development activities related to distance education. Jessica says the ACRL (Association of College & Research Libraries) virtual conference was the most interesting of her professional development activities in 2021. Congratulations!
