Scott Fischer Graduates from USA Program
Scott Fischer, a Library Associate I for the Missouri State University Libraries, graduated this week as a member of the 2020 Class of MSU’s USA Program (University Staff Ambassadors).
The curriculum of the USA Program consists of two types of sessions that are intermingled throughout the program year.
- The first type of session introduces the cohort members to areas of the university they may not get to see and learn about during their daily work routines. USA members will have an opportunity to tour parts of the university, hear about the various administrative divisions, and ask questions along the way.
- The second type of session provides specific skills enhancement training to the cohort members. These sessions are taught by professional trainers who provide an interactive and enjoyable learning experience. The training topics allow the learned skills to be applied to any job type, and perhaps even in the USA member’s personal life.
The 2020 Class of the popular and successful USA Program began their year-long course of study in July of 2019. While they, like their predecessors, are an amazing group of dedicated over-achievers, the COVID-19 pandemic held them back and slowed their progress through the curriculum. They stuck with it and graduated in December 2021.
Congratulations, Scott!
