Susanna Reichling, library liaison to the MSU Music and Theatre & Dance Departments, recently attended the 90th Annual Music Library Association National Conference. For the first time (due to the pandemic), the event was held online and in conjunction with the Theatre Library Association National Conference, which allowed for multiple opportunities to share strategies and innovations across performing arts disciplines.

The five-day conference included presentations and committee meetings focusing on collection assessment and development, binding and preservation of print and digital music scores, public services and outreach, information literacy, cultivating strong donor relationships, digital humanities initiatives, and connecting with music and arts in the local community.

As of March 1, Susanna begins a four-year term as Coordinator of the Local Music Collections Interest Group of the MLA.
