The first of two planned open forums on the “First FOLIO at MSU” Project, also known colloquially as “Leaving MOBIUS,” was held on Tuesday afternoon, October 15th. Approximately 25 faculty and staff attended this session. Dean Peters presented a few slides that provided an overview of the situation and the project, then opened it up for a lively, wide-ranging discussion about library collections, access to other research collections, services, and systems.
Today (Thursday, October 17, 2019) there will be another open forum at 2:00 in the Sunderland Foundation Auditorium in Duane G. Meyer Library. Then at 3:30 Dean Peters will make a brief presentation at the monthly meeting of the MSU Faculty Senate.
Dean Peters met with Bill Garvin from Olin Library at Drury University to discuss the First FOLIO at MSU Project, the current and near-term situation for MOBIUS, and a possible bilateral reciprocal borrowing agreement between Drury and MSU.
