The Springfield-Greene County Library District and the Missouri State University Libraries collaborated to bring author Laura McHugh to Springfield on Monday, September 30, 2019 to discuss her most recent book, The Wolf Wants In. 

Over 30 people attended McHugh’s talk, held at the Library Center on South Campbell Avenue. 

Laura McHugh presented an engaging story of her journey from working as a computer programmer to a full-time fiction writer. She offered examples of how challenging it can be to balance family, writing, travel, and book promotion. She graciously fielded a wide range of questions from the audience before signing copies of her books and posing for photos. The evening was a fine celebration of writing and reading.
